People love their video games. As a matter of fact, their purchases of them were 9% greater in February than in January according to research from NDP group. It’s fascinating that despite layoffs abounding and challenging economic environment, to say the least, people are still willing to invest in this type of entertainment. But here’s a bright note: The top selling game title of the month was “Wii fit,” an interactive game that requires a good deal of heart stimulating movement. Is it possible that people let their health club memberships lapse, and took that money to invest in this pro-active video game? At least, if people are making an investment in their entertainment, it might also turn out to be an investment in their health.
